Not what was claimed

When I ordered this product (August 2021) the headline said 105 hours of battery life. Now the headline has been changed and the list items say "Provides up to 16 hours of continuous use in flashlight mode." Both of these are incorrect in a practical sense. PLUS: The battery cover is easy to remove and put on; no complicated thread alignment. After the first hour on new batteries (alkaline is best) the light turns yellow rather than white, which is good if you want to lure insects to the light. So if you're sitting anywhere outside, put a lantern 25 feet or more away to protect you from bugs. CONS: The battery life is terrible! With the supplied batteries, the flashlights become so weak that they become almost unusable within 6 hours. With good quality alkaline batteries they last about 11 hours before the light output becomes so low that it becomes practically unusable. The accompanying specification, albeit very succinct, states that "runtime" ends when 1% or less of advertised lumen output is achieved. But 1% is 28 lumens, which is less light to the human eye than an ordinary small candle. The luminous flux of the flashlight is significantly lower than the "start" time of the hour and after 3 hours it is still usable, but rather weak. I bought 4 packs from 2 other manufacturers (all made in China) and each of them 8 flashlights which are almost identical to these lights except for the lack of a flashlight and a flashing red light, last at least 20 hours of bright useful light. The magnets at the base of this flashlight aren't as magnetic as other brands that I can hang upside down. down the metal surface. For me, this product is inferior to the same basic product from other manufacturers, moreover, this one is more expensive than others.
