Good basic Vesa mount

I looked at a few more adjustable and more expensive mounts. But it was enough and I'm satisfied. I really like that this frees up space under and slightly in front of the monitor that was previously occupied by the large base of the 27" monitor stand. I was planning on gluing some thin boards on either side of the C-Clip. to protect the table but found I didn't need it as the clamp has pads on both surfaces. I have not tried the base with an eyelet. My monitor mounting area is recessed. The kit includes four thin washers and four 1/4" vertical washers to extend the plate if needed for a recessed or curved monitor, as well as M4 and M6 short and long screws. I had to slide the table out to install the C-clamp and stand, but then I was able to slide the table back against the wall. The 15.5 inch stand offers enough freedom to move the monitor up and down; I use mine with my hand clamped about 5 inches from the top of the bar. Freedom of movement is restricted if the back of your table is next to a wall. The arm forms an "L" that holds the monitor about 7 inches from the stand. If you open the arm >90 degrees (it will not tilt less than 90 degrees), you can slide the monitor closer to the back of the table by moving the monitor further to the left or right of the stem; Raising it to a maximum of 16 inches puts you almost in line with the bar near the back of the table. Constrained by deep vertical shelf mounts on my desk that limited my pole placement and limited me to nearly a 90 degree bend, I was able to move the monitor back and closer to the pole a few inches (see image) with some creative arm bends, the pushed the lever all the way back to the wall 2 inches behind the post. Otherwise, I may need to consider a shorter arm mount, perhaps without a center pivot. Once you've adjusted the height, you probably don't want to move it up or down frequently, as it requires loosening and retightening the hex nut. Leave it there. Given the stable table, it's stable and secure, and I have no problem with the monitor bouncing as long as I'm not jumping up and down or dancing on the table.
