While gray, overcast days in Seattle can really tire someone, it makes a great filter for photography. I usually put my jewelry on white glossy photo paper by the window on a cloudy day to take pictures of my jewelry. Sometimes I can't make it through our short winter daylight hours, but not always, so I need a little help. I bought this light studio after a lot of research because I didn't want to spend a lot. Each of the three photos was adjusted a few levels for exposure and shadows on my iPhone 6s. The first photo I took was with a light studio and I aimed the associated light at the ceiling and side walls of the tent, not at the product. The second photo was taken following the lighting studio's instructions, which recommended aiming the lights against each other to counteract the shadows, and towards the product. This was my least favorite result. The third photo was taken with my usual natural light method on a cloudy day and in Seattle. I don't think I adjusted the exposure as much as in the first photo. The rolled up white background was crumpled and turned transparent so I had to use a glass acrylic background for the necklace.
