I have a very calloused area on the ball of my foot that had to be removed by a doctor. He will stay away from the shot and then reappear. The "cheese grater" in this set is amazing. I shower, dry my feet and let them sit for about 5 minutes, bring a grater to that area and it removes all that dead skin. You have to be careful not to go too far. But my pain when walking is gone! I walk a lot and I'm sure that's why it accumulates. There is also a pumice stone that is well contained in it. Don't hesitate if you have calluses on your feet!
