Bought for a trip to Alaska in January . I felt very warm in this jacket! Maybe even too hot to be honest. Part of our trip consisted of highly active activities like skiing, snowshoeing, mountaineering etc. I actually sweat THROUGH the jacket a few times. Keep in mind that the average temperature this year was 20 degrees so it was unbearably warmer than usual at this time of year. I've also had a mid/heavy base layer and a fleece every time, maybe I could layer more responsibly without wearing the fleece. However, it was a great cold weather jacket and really did the job, especially at night when we went out to see the Northern Lights. The added features like armpit vents, sleeve zip pocket and inner mesh pockets were my favorites and made my experience so much better! The armpit ventilation really helped me stay cool. The zippered sleeve pocket was a great travel feature, making it safer not to dig through pockets and wallets with germ-contaminated hands at the airport and on other trips, as the pocket could hold an ID, credit card, and one hand. disinfectant. And the inner mesh pocket was useful for my glasses, extra mask, gloves, mask or other items I might need during the day. All in all I love this jacket! I would be careful with the layers. :)
