I bought this antenna to replace the cheap rectangular flat antenna that you tape in your window. This one was destroyed by Colorado's beautiful UV/hot-cold environment. I bought Antop because I wanted something aesthetic on the outside, not like a giant laser blaster on the wall of my house. Installation was easy and I routed the wire into the old phone line hole on the side of the house. I first connected it to our Fire TV Recast and ran a channel scan. It found a whopping 11 channels while the one I'm replacing found 47. Hmmm. Then I connected the signal amplifier and repeated the scan. This time 55 channels. And my wife and I thought the picture is sharper with Antop. So far I'm satisfied after a full day of use. I'll post updates if things get bad otherwise we'll assume we're happy with it. One thing I worry about is how the weather in Colorado is going to be all year round: temperatures from -10 to 110, wind, rain, hail, snow, thunderstorms, high UV index. If it can handle 3/4" hail, I'll be very impressed. If it can't handle marble-sized hail, that would be unacceptable.
