I'm not an artist and I'm not good at drawing. This tablet is a 3D modeling add-on to me, so my "need" bar is pretty low. I'm a practical person, a "functionalist" if you will. In any case, there are two considerations here: 1. I like trying unpopular things, and 2. I don't like Wacom (this extends to other useful screen and tablet sizes). I used Wacom Intuos Pro in class. I don't really like the feel but I like the feel of this Veikk tablet. Here's why: 1. It makes good use of the screen. There isn't much extra space around it. I think that's good. An additional room increases the volume of the tablet.2. He has a passive pen. Hooray. This is a big plus as charging sucks while in use.3. I just wanted it. That's easy. I mainly use my keyboard for all hotkeys. It's nice to have a few extra buttons, but I doubt I'll rely on them very much. I like my keyboard too much. There is a small minus: yes, working in the dark is not very convenient. But this tablet is not designed for that. Another small minus: it can be smeared. I think a little water and a soft cloth will do the trick. One last thing: the tablet feels a bit bumpy on the surface if pressed hard enough. I think the reason for this is simple: it's not broken. I found that after a little application it becomes smooth and the roughness disappears. As far as build quality goes, the tablet itself is pretty solid. I have no complaints as I was just expecting something to read my pen and print the output to the screen and not break when I pick it up. For anyone having trouble with a tablet not working (or pressing buttons), part of it is a driver issue. You know about it. I contacted the support team (they were very nice). I believe they will update the driver as needed. The other part of the problem is how Win10 handles the driver itself. Not only the installer must be run as administrator, the driver (file) itself must also have administrator rights. I found out about this after being disappointed for four (4) hours. The file is called "TabletDriverCenter.exe" and requires an administrator. It is in the installation folder. After a lot of research, it turned out that this is a problem with many tablets, including this one. So just do it and you won't have any problems. This thing is thin and simple and I recommend it to anyone who needs something that compares to Wacom without feeling like crap.
