I have 7 small dogs that I cook for at home, but I like to supplement their food with a small amount of good quality granules (along with homemade) several times a week. to make sure they don't refuse the meal if there's an emergency and I can't cook for them. Canidae has an excellent reputation for making a quality product so I felt confident ordering it. And it's a pretty good formula with salmon as the first ingredient and salmon flour as the second (it's a concentrated form of cooked meat, which makes it high in protein and nutrients), but the rest of the ingredients are a bit heavy. Cereals and peas are not my favorite ingredients. However, my dogs love it. They ate without hesitation and there was no upset stomach. My dogs are quite small, between 3 and 12 pounds, and the size of this bite was easy for them, even those who don't have many teeth (I'm 14 and 15 years old) were able to eat with no problem. I think the price is reasonable for a quality meal but with so many grains I would hesitate to buy again.
