I'm so torn about this dog food. I like the responsible way it is formulated and packaged. My dog loves the taste (I bought chicken). But I don't like that barley is the third ingredient. The fillers are not suitable for dogs. Barley isn't as unhealthy as corn, soybeans, and wheat...but it's way too high on the list. I wish a second source of protein would replace it and I would pay more for it.

Let me first say that I am generally very happy with this food and so are my dogs. I think it provides quality nutrition with lots of salmon. Most protein comes from fish. However, it advertises wild-caught salmon but says nothing about whether the salmon meal (which is the second ingredient) comes from wild-caught fish.
