When our dogs were fighting one night, the little one's collar was twisted around the big one's lower jaw. Luckily we were home and were able to cancel it fairly quickly, but when it happened it was awful. I close thinking about what would have happened if I hadn't been home. That's right, I was researching on the internet if there was such a thing as a tear-off collar and came across this product. A toddler (15 pounds) now wears this collar at home. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit noisy. With two D-rings on a leash and a name tag, he strums and jingles very loudly. As if he carries a bell when he walks through the house. The collar itself is very bulky even for a small size. But I believe safety is more important, so I stopped there. I wish there was an option to not use D-rings as we don't use a collar for walking. Both of our dogs have harnesses. In any case, the thing is great except for this small detail! So far I haven't found it disassembled in the house, but that doesn't mean that one day this won't happen. You can never be completely sure when it comes to your furry family members.
