I'm reconnecting cables in my home studio. The speaker wire I bought has a very faint marking showing the polarity of the wire. This makes changing the cable difficult, especially when working in low light conditions. I decided to fix this by putting black and red heat shrink tubing on the ends of the wires. As for heat shrink tubing, that's a good thing. However, the "red" color is more like "scorched orange". Obviously not as bright as in the picture. It barely worked well enough for my purpose so I'll be looking at brighter red tubes for future use. I'm deducting one star because I've never seen "red" HS tubes in such a strange color. Otherwise I have no problems with it.
