I've only had this for about a week but it's thicker than the one I replaced and not as slippery for dogs, that was mostly what I was looking for, many have non slip padding for the seat leather, but then the ground the dogs are standing on is slippery which makes them restless and they slip when they come around a corner. I didn't use this as a hammock cover as my senior dog likes to step on the ground when getting out of my SUV so he doesn't have to jump off a perch, he couldn't do that with a hammock so I just fold the part under the seat on the floor. I wish there were straps to roll up this part if you don't need a hammock.
