I'm a dental hygienist this pad is short for me considering all my splatters come from below a longer pad definitely gives more coverage . This clear screen is very thin, folds very easily and leaves marks on the clear plastic when folded, meaning it will need to be replaced fairly quickly. To keep my shield clean I remove the clear film and rub it down so it doesn't bend or scratch it and then reattach it to the plastic, it's a bit more of a hassle than my old shield. I don't recommend this shield for dentistry, but I'm sure it will be excellent for other purposes. I see this as a good option for kids who need them for school as they are very thin and light. There are also no problems with the shield fogging up.
