Review on Industrial Electrical Ethernet Connectors for Durable Internet Computer Connectivity by Joe Fulce

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Tough on the outside, very thin on the inside

I bought this for the cable, not the connectors, so I immediately cut off the connectors and attempted to connect the individual conductors to my setup. The exterior is hard and difficult to take off. The conductors inside are very thin and difficult to connect to the terminal. I was checking for noise and shielding, so the cable was strewn in various places around my workshop and COULD be stepped on a few times. My speech wasn't gentle, but I wouldn't call it rude either. As far as I can tell, there wasn't much backlash. Eventually, about 100 feet away, one of the ladders broke and opened up. I understand that my application is not up to standard and the cable may work better with normal settings. If you want a thin cable, you need to use even thinner conductors.

Pros
  • Direct Burial
Cons
  • Slightly dented
