These were a great winter purchase for me. Living in Buffalo, NY, you tend to go through a lot of winter shoes quickly. This leaves me looking for cheaper options when it comes to my "play" shoes. I bought these knowing I'd be going on a winter hike with them that weekend. These held up great in deep snow and kept my feet totally warm and dry. My only complaint is that the laces are a little flimsy, but that's an easy replacement.
