Review on πŸ”Š Dayton Audio DTA-2.1BT2: 100W Class D Bluetooth Amplifier with Sub Frequency Adjustment for Enhanced Audio Experience by Terry Reed

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good sound, great value

For a three input 2.1 amp amp with reasonable throttling and built in Bluetooth you can go with this Dayton that comes in at a little more than a Benjamin , hardly anything wrong . I have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 225s with a Dayton Mini subwoofer (6.5" DIY package) and they are holding up very well. It doesn't get too loud, but loud enough while maintaining stability and good audio. A simple tone control provides ample clarity in the top frequencies, while low-level and crossover controls give me just what I need to complement my bookshelf speakers with flavorful bass from a mini subwoofer. My system is more jazz and folk oriented, so I don't need any extra tapping. What I get is great clarity and presence, particularly the buttery mids of Wharfedales, and great resolution from my vinyl. The Dayton's amp features secure everything I need in my system, and the tiny size keeps my U-Turn turntable central. I'm glad I decided to buy a giant tube amp and instead take advantage of Class D technology. Recommended if you're not looking for extreme volume.
