really good for reptiles and amphibians

I used this as a base for starter soil in my garden. Delivered very quickly and I was really surprised at how much of this material fits into a small container. Really great, my plants love it so I love it too. A big plus is that I have more than enough for next season. I will definitely buy this again.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Good product at a good price, ignore the mess.

Great product but could have been better packaged. The coconut fibers broke out of the packaging at the post office and made a little mess in the box. There were other reptile items in the box so it doesn't really matter, it's just the first time I've had this problem. Still a great product. Use it with my carnivorous plants, praying mantis and jumping spiders.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great value

This is my first time using dehydrated coir so I wasn't quite sure how well or how it actually works but it's a lot easier than I expected. And you get so much substrate out of it. It filled the 12 gallon container I had, but I had to put it in 2 12 gallon containers to make sure I didn't miss anything. Very happy with the results, although I poured a little too much water, but you just have to let it dry a little.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Very expensive

Small Building Block, BIG RESULTS 10/10

Appearances can be deceiving. This densely packed brick turns into a TON of substrate. I opened the pack, placed it in a small empty plastic trash can (the size you use for a bathroom) and added the recommended amount of water. I put it in the garage for the night and when we woke up = BOOMMMMM! A trash can filled with fluffy, high-quality substrate for our hermit crab tank. With a bag of substrate sand and a container full of this product, it's perfect for a 10 gallon glass aquarium for ourโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • Reliability

Small slices = easier to store

didn't need much and didn't want to use the whole bricks and store the rest somewhere. I use them as a dig box for my leopard gecko. I used to fill the whole bottom of his terrarium, but I've found that he always burrows in one spot and sleeps on a surface other than coconut, so it's easier to just empty the container. Used 2 discs to fill a quart size ziplock bag, although 1 disc was smaller than the others. More economical for large blocks, but less hassle for small drives.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • pretty ok

A coconut rock you can break with your hands?!

This coir is excellent and I was surprised that I was able to compare it to some of my hardware fabric screens and turn it into a dry powder. It can be torn into pieces without wetting it, but the bale is a bit larger than other bales, so it probably isn't as compressed. It also turned out to absorb water faster than any other coco brick I've used in the past. are $12 per person. This coir weighs only 38 liters or 1.27 cubic feet. I won't do the math, but it's clearly a lot more expensive, tooโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Interchangeable
