Good day dear readers of my review. Recently, I talked about the fact that our eldest son, in the pocket of his shorts, took three snails from Turkey. These "animals" we left to live at home. We bought them a house, food and soil, more precisely the Exo-Terra Plantation Soil coconut substrate, it is about him that I want to leave my review today. My husband bought the substrate at the nearest pet store. Price: 239 rubles Manufacturer: Sri Laika The substrate was sold in such a bar: On the…

Exo Terra Great invention: my truth review

Today I want to talk about such a product as coconut substrate. It is designed for terrariums, where different kinds of reptiles live. In my case, we buy such a substrate for our snails. I previously wrote on about these pets of ours. My review is about the Achatina Snail. My son takes care of his Snails and buys coco substrate especially for them. Made from coconut flakes. It is finely chopped and pressed into blocks. Exo-Terra Plantation Soil is the most suitable soil for our snails. The…

    Great for hermit crabs!

I have used this product for my hermit crab moss pits. I originally switched to this product because it is dye free and gives a more natural feel to the area. That looks great! This moss is dried and pressed. I only need a small portion at a time, so I just break off a piece and keep the rest. Then I leave it in the water for a few minutes, then squeeze it out and put it in the aquarium. This moss retains moisture very well. I water spray it about once a week, but I could probably last a lot…

    Great item on bedding

So, I have a ball python. And the humidity in his aquarium has always been difficult to maintain. Any snake owner knows that this can cause molting problems. Previously, when I saw him coming to molt, I just sprayed his aquarium more often. his last shed crawled up to us and he kept most of the shed on his head and in the top half. So I ordered this moss to make him a humidity box. Well I decided to mix it with its substrate as well. Which apparently made him loose enough to burrow under, and…

    SUITABLE FOR BOX TURTLE HABITAT

My little box turtle loves this moss more than any other. It retains moisture fairly well (should be misted daily) and keeps it from getting covered in coir (or dirt). I laid this on top of a 3-4 inch layer of coco coir. Coconut fibers store more moisture. I also wet it every day and she loves to walk on it. I have a particular turtle that has a slightly twisted spine, so it's a little off balance. I make sure she has a good soft bed and some pavers to climb onto her bathing area. (Not too high

Might suit some animals but not our snake

I opened the package and immediately smelled mold. No big deal, I expect that when working with stuff coming from a humid environment. About a third of this bag was mixed with Exo Terra rainforest soil and soaked in water according to the package directions, but after about a week this product seems to have moldy half of my snakewood skin and isn't retaining moisture either. somehow in a tank? I think our humidity sensor might be broken, but even though mold is growing on the log right now…

Great value for money, just take your time like me!

I'm a big fan of this feather moss! I like to use it to accent herpes and invertebrate enclosures (it is currently used as the top substrate layer in enclosures for garden snails, white tree frogs, crested geckos and fire skinks). I have about half left. However, be patient and let it fully hydrate on its own. I'm used to shredding and breaking compressed coir blocks so I don't have to wait long to put them in my cases, but you won't want to do that with this one! This might sound like common…

Exo Terra Great solution: my truthful feedback

I didn’t choose this substrate right away, I can say I bought it when there was nothing else to buy but it. I use it for snails and as bedding in a chameleon terrarium. What can I say, this is probably the most optimal ratio of pros and cons in one product. Of course, it’s gorgeous for snails, it holds moisture for a long time, mold and all sorts of fungi do not breed, it is possible not to replace the entire substrate completely, but to replace only that part that is contaminated. Chameleon is
