I have used this product for my hermit crab moss pits. I originally switched to this product because it is dye free and gives a more natural feel to the area. That looks great! This moss is dried and pressed. I only need a small portion at a time, so I just break off a piece and keep the rest. Then I leave it in the water for a few minutes, then squeeze it out and put it in the aquarium. This moss retains moisture very well. I water spray it about once a week, but I could probably last a lot longer. Over time it seems to settle and shrink so it can be loosened up from time to time. If it looks dirty, you can take it out and wash it. However, I try to buy new moss as it is not very expensive. I have no complaints. This moss is perfect for my use, it's convenient and affordable.
