Easy to use for reptiles and amphibians

The product is easy to keep clean. You'll certainly need a backup if you take one out of the tank, but I have yet to find a 47" x 18" so I'm layering and trimming off the excess because the bugs will find their way under this mat. All in all this was the best food for my bearded dragon.

Makes the snake happy

I'm a breeder and I buy about 120+ rolls a month. For larger snakes, you'll need a lot of this product depending on what you're doing with it. I've noticed major changes in the skin of all my pythons. It is easy to remove and wash and then replace. I still change the carpet every week to keep it from rotting. As a grower, I highly recommend this product.

  • Easy to install

I can easily crop it to the perfect size for his jar.

I use this product to cover a turtle terrarium. If all the substrates I've tried in the past then I'll keep ordering this one. I can easily crop it to the perfect size for his vitreous body. Unlike hay, mulch, and even moss, lining the cage with this material will never get dirt in my turtle's eyes. It's best to toss it in the washing machine hot every once in a while when it's getting gross. I can reuse a roll many times before needing more.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

A safe substrate for your reptile!

After trying many substrates for our bearded dragons, we finally settled on these rugs. They are great for covering the bottom of the cage and are easy on the eye. When they get dirty we change them (bought two) and wash them with warm soapy water. Then we lay the rug out in the sun to dry. This is a great safe option for your bearded dragon as it doesn't have any particles to eat and looks great in a cage. Highly recommended!

Great and clean product.

Great product! Before purchasing this substrate I used newsprint and it doesn't compare. The newspaper is so dirty and uncomfortable, especially when, like me, you don't bring a newspaper home. It wipes off very easily with a damp paper towel. Once a week I wash it under the sink with water and let it dry. I will be buying a second one so I can put the other one in her aquarium while the wet one dries. I have a 55 gallon tank and had to trim it down a bit to fit. This is a thick material so use

Good choice for reptiles!

Good choice for reptiles in my opinion. We've tried tile, newspaper and this product was definitely our favorite. One of our bearded ones liked to potty in the same spot in his tank so I put newspaper in that spot to speed up the clean up, but it's a great product because it doesn't change with the animal or other decorations. /Furniture is like newspaper and much easier to clean than tile as dirt can get trapped between or under the tiles. However cleaning is a little tricky in our experience…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Easy to clean on litter

This product is MUCH easier to clean than regular litter. We use it for our adult corn snake. You can easily see the poo (an issue with other litters) so getting it out there isn't difficult. I take the liner out of the tank, scrape the poo down the toilet and then carry the liner to the sink where I use some soap and a brush to get most of the poo out. Then I put the liner in the next load of laundry (the washer, not the dryer). Of course I have a spare that I keep in the terrarium and another

Marriage Saving Odor Control

So here's what happened: One day my husband wanted a lizard. Two weeks later we had four. They are all rescued bearded dragons and two of the three came to our home in sand filled terrariums. The first morning when we woke up, the smell of baking sand was so strong I wanted to burn my house down. Luckily there is this carpet. I use it in all terrariums and am very satisfied. They are also very easy to clean so there is literally never any poo left behind. I usually roll it up and take it…

Pros
  • Great for a Small Home

Very good product, excellent condition after cleaning

This is a very good product, especially if you are looking for something simple and easy to clean. Of course you can always go cheaper and buy sand, but I recommend if you do it with sand to lightly cover the bottom because the sand will attract mites and other weird little hopping little mosquito-like creatures that pop up in your tank, so it is definitely a safer alternative and you don't have to worry about the substrate. However I would recommend if there are two of you buying this product…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
