Great product! Before purchasing this substrate I used newsprint and it doesn't compare. The newspaper is so dirty and uncomfortable, especially when, like me, you don't bring a newspaper home. It wipes off very easily with a damp paper towel. Once a week I wash it under the sink with water and let it dry. I will be buying a second one so I can put the other one in her aquarium while the wet one dries. I have a 55 gallon tank and had to trim it down a bit to fit. This is a thick material so use caution when cutting as you will need sharp scissors or a blade to make clean cuts. It would be a little easier if they were made specifically for the size of the tank so they sit flush, but that's fine, it only takes a few minutes to cut to size.
