Exo Terra Great invention: my truth review

Today I want to talk about such a product as coconut substrate. It is designed for terrariums, where different kinds of reptiles live. In my case, we buy such a substrate for our snails. I previously wrote on about these pets of ours. My review is about the Achatina Snail. My son takes care of his Snails and buys coco substrate especially for them. Made from coconut flakes. It is finely chopped and pressed into blocks. Exo-Terra Plantation Soil is the most suitable soil for our snails. The package consists of three blocks, each one the size of a brick, and each weighing approximately 1 kg. But it is not measured in weight, but in liters. One block is filled with cool boiled water, and increases in volume up to 8 liters of capacity. Unfortunately, the instructions do not indicate how much water to fill. The block is very tightly compressed. You can’t break it with your hands, and you can’t cut it with an ordinary knife. We cut it with a hacksaw. It is half a brick that is enough for us at one time. It is interesting to observe the process of preparing such a litter. First you need to place the block in a container, gradually add about two liters of water so that the finished mixture is wet, but at the same time, so that water is not squeezed out of it. The block swells in a few minutes, grows in volume. And this is a ready-made mixture for our pets. Half of the block makes a full four-liter bowl of the finished mixture. Reptiles feel comfortable in such soil. They can move freely, dig the ground, multiply faster. Such a package of substrate is enough for us for more than 6 months, but for each it is individual. Coconut substrate is a natural product that is prepared specifically for reptiles, I recommend it.
