Review on LoraTap Wireless Remote Control Fixtures by Gregory Chaitanya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for old houses

Our home was built in 1901 and has had several renovations over the years. To turn on and off the lights on the porch, you have to go to another room where the wall switch is located - a huge inconvenience. This nifty wireless device has changed all that! Now we have a light switch where you would normally find it - by the front door. Installation couldn't be easier; The two parts were already "connected" from the factory, so I didn't even have to bother with that. It was literally plug and play. I have no idea how long this device will last, but so far I am very happy with it. Too bad I didn't find it sooner! UPDATE: For some reason the system won't let me give a separate review for the Remote + Outlet version of the same product that we bought for our old home. Some rooms don't have overhead lights, which means you have to enter a dark room and look for the lamp, which might be on the other side of the room. We were able to put a wireless switch on the wall just behind the door so we could turn on the light in the room without stumbling in the dark. And just like the Remote + Socket product, it's literally "plug and play"!

Pros
  • Easy installation and no interference: just screw the lamp adapter between the socket and the light bulb and you can turn a normal light bulb into a cordless one. You can use multiple lampholders in a room without signal interference
Cons
  • boring packaging
