I looked at several "electronic" versions of crosswords, but they didn't get a very high rating (2-3 stars out of 5). The New York Times Crossword Companion had very good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. The device is very light and compact. The position of the puzzles allows you to slide down to see the puzzle solution and return to the puzzle you are working on. The companion has an integrated pen and eraser compartment on the side. The reel mechanism works very well and keeps the puzzle firmly on the reel.
