This is a good quality cable, definitely thicker than normal Cat 5e or Cat6 as others have said. I haven't tested the speed at the moment, so I can't answer these questions. My main reason for this review is to let you know what trapezoid and end connectors I used. I used Cable Matters shielded keystone connectors, model 180014, and shielded plugs, model 180086. Both connectors are heavy-duty, but are much appreciated after I *tried* to use Lowe's plastic Cat 6 connectors (I couldn't get 6a find) to use (they don't work). so don't try). They take longer to apply and are definitely more voluminous, but I would definitely use them again due to the solid construction. I also ordered and used a Cable Matters 180087 Keystone crimping tool, which isn't strictly necessary, but if you don't have one you'll need to use some kind of big-lipped right-angle pliers to crimp them all the way. Something else. I have found it extremely helpful to order a pair of micro cutter pliers to trim off any excess wire after the wires have been inserted into the connectors. The tiny nose end of these pliers easily gets into hard-to-reach places. I ordered Hakko CHP-170 micro cutters for about $7 or $8 and they worked great.
