Best to remove the lamp from the ceiling during installation

We were almost ready to return this product as we could not fit the base into the lamp. Finally, we unscrewed the entire lamp from the ceiling and were able to connect the base and lamp to it. It's not about that light, it's about how the lamp is arranged. After we did that, it only took a few minutes to replace the old burned out lightbulb. (Removing the entire bulb from the ceiling is easy - just remove two screws. This new LED bulb is much brighter and won't overheat or burn out since it's an LED. I'm ordering four more to fit all the bulbs to replace in our mobile home
