it's hard to find the right size just because all dogs are so different in length, weight and girth. I have a standard golddoodle that is 4.5 months old, weighs 35 pounds, very long, about 26 inches long, 29 in chest and 15-16 skinny neck lol. The prices here are also strange, sometimes very large sizes are very cheap. I chose 3xxx large because the length is perfect for her and has little room to grow but the chest and neck are very large. xl would have been better but was sold out. I ended up wrapping the velcro chest straps all the way around her and hooking them on top of her back lol. looks weird but fits and therefore length and chest are good. The neck is still too big but I've tried adjusting the velcro straps a bit tighter, lower and so far so good. According to her vet, she still has a lot of growing to do, so eventually she'll fit in and maybe outgrow it, who knows. She has a lot of fur so this fleece material will be enough to keep her very warm in north easterly weather. it was a great purchase.
