Super Impressed Housewares Product

Oct 11 21 Update on Update on Update: I got a new dishwasher. It's not a fashion brand, but it has a top atomizer and works great. I do a quick rinse before loading the dishes and use the Normal setting. I'm still using these 7th gen packs - for over 5 years - and they still do a great job! In addition, it does not emit fumes and is environmentally friendly. Update Update: It's been about 3.5 years since my original review and I still rate this product 5 stars! I'm still happy about the smoke-free and my sparkling clean dishes! And I still stand by my belief that your dishes will never come out clean no matter what if you have a crappy dishwasher. So get yourself a good dishwasher and use the seventh generation dishwasher detergent kits for an eco-friendly and smoke-free cleaning! Hooray! Update: It's been about 1.5-2 years since my original review and I'm still very impressed with this dishwashing liquid. I'm telling you, if you have a crappy dishwasher, you're going to get horrible results no matter what dish soap you use. So buy yourself a good dishwasher (preferably one with a top spray arm), put in a seventh-generation dishwashing detergent pack, and enjoy nice, clean dishes with no fumes. Original Review: Reviews vary on this product so I wanted to try a full bath of 7th Gen Dishwashing Liquid before testing it myself. First off, I just want to say that no matter what product you use, you'll get crappy results with a crappy dishwasher. I know this is a fact because I've had a crappy, run-of-the-mill dishwasher for 11 years and have tried every detergent and nothing really lives up to my high standards. In my opinion, a great dishwasher (we had a Kenmore Elite when we were housewives years ago and it was a bomb!) should work great with a good dish soap. Anyway, 2 months ago I bought a new dishwasher for my apartment. This is one of those newfangled, energy efficient and very quiet. It's not super trendy, but it does have a bottom sprinkler and a sprinkler under the top post. I scrape large chunks of food off my plates before putting them in the dishwasher and if there is dried gravy/gravy etc I quickly pre-rinse. I put the pack of the seventh generation in the detergent drawer, set the machine to "normal" wash and let it go. I never use rinse aid. But since I don't own a fancy Bosch dishwasher, I prefer to manually set the last extra rinse cycle for the dishes. And - drum roll please - I am SUPER IMPRESSED with this product! It cleans my dishes - even dried sauces or small pieces of dried food. My dishes are clean and shiny, the glasses are sparkling and the cutlery is fresh and sparkling. But best of all, it doesn't have the eye-irritating and throaty chemical smell of Palmolive or Cascade (or worse, Cascade Complete). I'm sold! I love this product, love that it's phosphate free and biodegradable, love that it doesn't kill my eyes or nose and love that it cleans my dishes! And it comes in a handy tube container.
