I used to use Hidrate 3 and really enjoyed it. When the steel version came out I decided to take it. It looks a bit more professional and uses a rechargeable puck. Then why did I give them 1 star? The rechargeable puck, which is the brains of the bottle, screws into the bottom. The puck sits proudly (sticks out) from the bottom of the bottle. This creates a wobble when you put the bottle on. Yes, it's annoying, but it doesn't cause a problem in and of itself. The fact is that the washer is rubber and unscrews easily. This doesn't happen often, but if you don't lift the bottle carefully before turning it to your mouth, you might be able to unscrew it. I first noticed it when I was drinking but it didn't glow so I found a washer in a sofa cushion. Within a few weeks of using the bottle I lost the washing machine (at home) probably 4 or 5 times. The washer snaps when you snap it, but I don't think it's strong enough for long-term use.
