Fantastic prime

I bought a Canon SL1 a few years ago. Like most people, I take almost all of my photos in nature and visit national parks. I was tired of carrying a bag full of lenses and wanted to downsize my camera bag to two lenses. First let me say that I'm not a professional photographer, but I love taking great photos. My goal was to find light in a lens, close up and zoom. Up to this point, my main lens has been the Canon 55-250mm. A friend then told me about a newer Tamron lens, the 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di ll VC. I liked 18mm for close-ups and 200mm would have been enough for enlarging. It weighed 1.19 pounds compared to my Canon 55-250mm at 0.83 pounds. Nothing special until I took some photos. I was really impressed and pleased with its performance, especially on close-up shots, dear. Now I carry three lenses in my bag, I know I said I only want two, my petite 50mm and 24mm pancake lenses. When I'm out and about in the city I use my petite 50 during the day and my 24mm in low light. IMPORTANT TIP: Make sure your firmware on your Canon camera is up to date, otherwise Tamron could have problems communicating with your Canon. Simple and free firmware update. Call Canon at 1-800-652-2666 they are great.
