I don't think it actually puts out 3000w of continuous power, but it costs a lot less than a power supply, comes with short neutral leads and works just as well as a 4000 watt generator. I checked the power supply in the same house and the meter hit 1700w before shutting down. This one doesn't say how many watts, it only has one power LED strip and it screams when it reaches the last strip but it didn't come out, it just gave a warning. According to the product specification, these devices should have an output of around 3000 watts. Either the generator had a bad meter or this inverter is running up to the specified limit. In any case, I'm happy with it.
