Review on πŸ”Š Bose Smart Soundbar 300: Enhanced Bluetooth Connectivity with Alexa Voice Control - Black by Sarah Mills

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not on par with others in the price range

Update 8/10/21: My relatives came to visit me at the weekend and they said you need a soundbar, I said I have it here under the TV! . Well I recently got another soundbar with satellites and a small 5.1 Atmos woofer from Vizio and it blows my mind with rich sound, clear loud vocals and the woofer gives it a bit of punch and it's $100 cheaper. Of course, Alexa or Google Assistant are not integrated. Now after that experience I've put this Bose panel in another TV we have and I have to admit it doesn't do much better than the TV speakers, it outperforms the TV at high volumes and handles music well . The sync problem I had with a Sony TV never went away, I always had issues with it here and there. The Bose speaker seems to sync up better with my 65" Samsung TV, but Samsung doesn't show the volume when the Bose speaker is connected to the eARC HDMI port. Original review: I connected it to the HDMI (ARC) of an 85 inch Sony. TV XBR85X900, and it immediately started working without any setup. Later the TV asked what to do when turning it on, whether to use an external one or not. The sound is great for music, but TV voices could be better. For such a small bar, the base is pretty good. However, it needs a dedicated base as there is no real base kick or pole rumble. Love the added Alexa and Google Assistant. But I've found that once you start playing music or other things and the TV is still on, they get out of sync and the TV won't use it as a soundbar unless you turn it off and on again.
