Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 46035 PCV Valve Elbow for Ford and Mercury Models - Top-Choice Selection by Joseph Reed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

'02 Mercury Sable GS is the perfect piece!

I first bought this PCV knee as my mechanic advised that my "breathing knee" was in need of replacement soon. After doing a little research online and reaching out to the Revain community, I was able to determine that this was exactly the part I needed. I have a 2002 Mercury Sable GS and the PCV knee was clearly visible in the upper/left quadrant. Engine. All I had to do was take the old one off and put the new one in its place. I had an RPM issue with the defroster/AC/floor fans running while the car was parked. I turned on my deicer while in park and the engine rpm occasionally dropped to near zero, causing the battery light to blink for a second before the rpm jumped back up to normal idle. My guess is that replacing this PCV elbow fixed the pressure leak issue when the airway was changed (can't say for sure). In any case, this was the part I needed and I'm more than happy with it working so far. Even if it only lasts 6 months, I have no hesitation in paying $20 a year for the rest of the life of this car. It's just nice to be able to start the car without worrying about idle issues.
