My friend is a well-known sound engineer - he runs a recording and production studio for a national radio station and mixes the work of professional musicians. He recommended this device to me for a podcast app. I was willing to go over the cost of this device and he recommended it to me. I'm not disappointed. (As with all microphones) make sure to position it correctly in relation to your mouth/face/nose so you can hear your voice. The connection to my digital voice recorder was perfect - I use a small Olympus device with a phone jack. The microphone comes with an adapter for other input formats. This is a good investment and a good product. The size/ratio of the adjustable strap that can go over the head or behind the head is up to you. That works fine.
