Installation was very easy and only took a few minutes. That's the best I can say about these lamps. Downloading the application and plugging in the light worked fine but the connection keeps going on and off. The app doesn't stay connected to WiFi for more than about a minute. When I try to make the lights amber or white with the app, they flash red, change colors, and default back to a constant red. When I tried adjusting the brightness, the same thing happened. When I tried changing the color with the buttons on the lights, they alternated between red, yellow, and multiple flashing colors. I installed the Alexa skill but couldn't control the lights at all with Alexa or the Alexa app because the wifi wouldn't stay connected. The application for these lights is also very slow. If you select a different color (which actually works), the app responds in 5-10 seconds on average. I've heard good things about these bulbs so I bought them, but if magically they don't work properly I'll go back and look for something more reliable. Very disappointing!
