Other braided leads I've bought have a metal clip on the end of the clasp. It's double weave (no metal) which makes this end a bit thicker (not a problem, just an observation). Another difference of this leash is that it is elastic. It has some "recoil" and when you hold it in your hands, it can be squeezed. So if it wraps around your arm it will be taut and pinched when the leash is pulled out. I like colors and trying new things. It may just take a while to get used to, but it's very different from any other leash I've made from regular cotton with no stretch. It does the job, but I guess it depends
