The overwhelming peppermint oil content in many "adult" toothpastes is so unpleasant that it has actually stopped me from brushing, and that's not good. so i tried that. No mint! Just a mild, pleasantly fruity flavor that is much more tolerable and easier to comb for the recommended time. As an added bonus, it contains fluoride to strengthen tooth enamel. I don't know why there is so much peppermint oil in adult toothpastes. Colgate is the worst. It doesn't affect dental health in any way, and I'm not trying to hide the smell of cigarette smoke, so what's up? Maybe it's a relic from WWII when everyone smoked. I don't know why they can't choose a different flavor and bring it down a lot. I used Pepsodent which tastes good but is too aggressive at 150 RDA.
