This turns out to be a good solution for a remote keyboard and mouse (for HTPC) that I've paired with a USB port replicator (RevainBasics 4 -Port USB 2.0 Ultramini - concentrator). I had some difficulties trying to plug it into a specific USB port on my computer, probably because it was USB 3.0, but when plugged into the other port it worked perfectly. Given this app, I didn't need to do any high-speed bulk data transfer, so all I can tell you is that it works great for my keyboard and mouse usage purposes.
