was a regular basket so I figured a nice soft pillow or cushion would make it the best place to sleep. And don't let them smell so strongly of a wicker basket. It turns out they love it. Most of the time, the cat always sleeps in it, and it seems that they change places, like people fighting over the bathroom. The outer edge and part of the pillow is very large, so the pillow is very similar to a sink. If you have it on the floor, they can snuggle up to the outer rim. I have it in a slanted basket so it's not that common. Overall a great purchase - very satisfied.
