No, no, no. I work in IT support, I know what I'm talking about when I say this camera will have problems if your USB port isn't powerful enough. I tried my Surface Go laptop and my wife's Surface 2 laptop. Both had the same problem - after a few minutes the camera turned off, before that sometimes random color stripes flickered. The camera might turn back on after a few seconds or minutes as your frustration over the $50 pocketed builds. I've tried the Camera app for Windows, Microsoft Teams, and Flipgrid, a web-based app. I also tried it with a USB 3.0 hub. In any case, the same problem. Not good. I'll send it back as soon as possible. In terms of camera quality, the white balance is good, the image is sharp, there's even some depth of field, and the light can be handy in low light or for a fill flash. But another issue is that the autofocus is quite jerky, I noticed it frantically searching every few seconds, causing the display to shake like a mirror in a laugh house. If you are a person who notices these things, it will bother you.
