Great backpacks for our two chihuahuas! Bought one for each dog, one weighs 5 pounds and the other 9 pounds. You have enough space to lie down. You can also put them on their side for more space and they have plastic feet so they don't get dirty when you put your bag on the floor. We used the backpacks for 6 days on a family vacation and got many compliments on how comfortable our pups felt while hiking. This will definitely save your back from trying to carry them when they get tired. Our puppies don't trust those who pet them, so they feel safe carrying them in backpacks. We were also able to take them to shops and restaurants since they were in backpacks. Backpacks themselves do not weigh much, are very durable and do not deform. They have multiple breathable mesh pockets and puppy holes. The back and shoulder straps are very soft which makes them very comfortable to wear even with the extra weight of our puppies. The chest and waist straps also make it easier to carry puppies. They come with a nice sherpa cushion for dogs to sit/lie on. The only downside is that I wish the side pockets were bigger to fit a cell phone, dog treat or leash. I highly recommend these backpacks!
