Accurate but not entirely silent

So I bought Radenso XP about a month ago. And so far, as long as the patrol car has its radar on, it's usually picking them up, I'd say within half a mile or better, there's a lot of hills in my area, so that doesn't increase the range either. **Note: The radar detector cannot detect the radar if it is not powered, most patrol cars have their systems loaded but the radar is on the toggle switch (at least that would be a reasonable way to set up the system). .) You can sometimes walk past a PD/Sheriff/SPO without triggering, it just means they either 1. don't turn it on, 2. don't equip it. So use this line at your own risk and with knowledge of the above. I will notice one thing. Of course, this is my first radar detector, but I did a little research on the Radenso and others before spending $250 on it. but Radenso bills itself as the quietest detector, meaning it ignores false alarms (door sensors, BSM, etc.) and while I haven't driven many modern cars on a major highway, I've found that K- the range still picks out quite a few Door sensors on storefronts (Walgreens/CVS, a few others with automatic doors) often remotely open so it trips until I finally turn the other way (until I can mute it, it's just a bit annoying, especially when I don't necessarily want to disable the K area, just in case I feel like the software needs some tweaking to check if it really is perfect), but so would a few goals in a backwoods driveway underline. Overall I think it's a great investment, I'm going on a cross country trip this winter, it will definitely take that trip with me so I can come back and report here on my experiences on the open road and in different cities.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • The list will be long.
