Perfectly suitable as a return gift for small children for my daughter's birthday. You fill the pen with water and then draw on the white pages. When the paper gets wet, the image underneath is revealed. Even when it dries, it turns white and can be used again and again. My daughter had one when she was 2 and loved it. So I was sure little kids would love it. We got an extra one and I was amazed to learn that my daughter loves it even now that she is 5 years old. There is a flow of designing with a pen. The handle has bristles and should be used like a brush. If used improperly, the bristles will bend and the plastic part will scratch the paper. Once the white paper is scratched the color underneath will show and it will not turn white as the water dries. It would be better if the handle had a felt tip instead of bristles.
