My old desktop is broken. Instead of trying to swap out all the parts and figure out what was wrong, I decided to see if I could just grab what I needed from the hard drive and be done with the desktop. This article allowed me to get what I needed off my hard drive and save it to another hard drive. However, I was only able to use this product once. I tried using this product again but it just didn't work and that's when I noticed my hard drive was starting to smoke and get very hot. When you open this product you definitely get the feeling that it is made very cheaply. The connectors/wires barely stick to the case and move everywhere when you try to connect them to something. If you really need to get information off your hard drive quickly and cheaply, this product will do the trick. However, don't expect to be able to use it more than once as it will simply stop working and potentially set your house on fire. I got what I needed from it, so now I'll just throw it away.
