I never write reviews but if it helps someone then I've done my job. I only bought these shoes because I am 6 weeks away from ankle surgery and need to lace up. I needed an old school shoe with an independent tongue (instead of a brand new brand that has the tongue attached to one side of the shoe) to make room for the bulky splint and collar. That being said, these shoes not only met my immediate needs but are pretty damn comfortable. The insoles are added removable so you can insert your own insole if needed. The included insole provides arch support and is comfortable. I would buy these to wear for walking or aerobics under normal circumstances. They look great, are affordable and supportive. Mileage is a bit big. I always go half a size down in my sneakers and under normal circumstances I would have to order my normal size for them to fit.
