I am a full-time working mom trying to navigate this new world of homeschooling. My son didn't go to a Montessori school, but I knew the methods. I was looking for new toys for my wonderful, curious and smart boy to play with by himself. He figured it out right away and I look forward to bringing it back often (he loves puzzles). My only complaint is that the pins are not glued - this was shown in the photo although it's my fault and the glue didn't work. not fix. And the base is not glued at all and not painted. The parts and pins are lightly varnished so I don't see why the base shouldn't be varnished. One star for that as I suspect this will affect the longevity of this toy and for the price it feels cheap when the other wooden toys we paid half the price for were fully finished.
