Review on 3/4 Inch GHT Garden Hose Quick Connector Set Solid Brass Easy No-Leak Male Female Threaded Value (1 External) EQC-1 by James Yarbrough

These quick disconnects are the first ones I have found to work well without leaks. The only improvement I can see that is needed on this product is the number of 3/4" threads on the end on the hose end of the male connector. It needs about two more threads to allow for some hose attachments that have a deeper female threading. The way it is now the male connector threads to far down into the female end of most any attachment you want at the end of your hose. Thus when the male connector is fully seated into say a spray nozzle, for example, there is scant room left for the female connector to fully engage the male tip without interference with moveable release collar on the female connector. Yes you can always add a second rubber washer between the spray nozzle and the male connector but this is a poor solution that is prone to leak. So overall this is a well designed and manufactured product that only needs a small modification to make it perfect. I only hope that the three ball bearings used in the locking mechanism as well as the spring under the collar are made of a high quality stainless steel to prevent corrosion, but only time will tell the truth.
