Review on Sennheiser HD280PRO: ๐ŸŽง Next-Generation Pro Audio Headphones by Chai Charoen แ Œ

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Think twice before you buy-the product is disgusting.

Chose headphones with listening. Initially went for HD280. Previously, there were senshi 518 (they no longer produce). Was satisfied. But either Sennheisers are now producing with a different frequency response, or then there was nothing to compare with, but this model of all heard sounds not only worse, but very bad. The lower and upper bass are pulled up, but at the same time the midbass is littered, because of which the drummers are heard like tin cans. Further - a steep blockage at the "lower" and "middle" highs, but the peak in the range of the "upper" highs is around 6 kilohertz. In general, all this creates a "canned-cardboard" sound. Worse, it is useless to equalize - you pull one thing, a blockage immediately appears in another range. At the tapping were Senheisers 280,380,559,569,599, Marshal monitor, Sony 7506, Shure 840, Audio-Technique m40x, m50x, a couple of Pioneers up to 10 tyr, Bayerdynamic 770, 990 (more expensive than the rest). What can I say - the marshals and senheisers all . were the first to drop out. More or less there were HD380 and 599, good ergonomics, no high-frequency jumps cutting the ears, but in general both Sony and AT sound worse. The Pioneers also dropped out. Audio equipment m40x and m50x, Beyerdynamic 770 turned out to be good in sound (but . 770 is more studio than for home). Shure 840, Sony 7506 and Beyerdynamic 990 sounded really good. Sony sounded at 5, but lacked depth (as they say, the sound is "in the head"), although not everyone needs it. In some places harsh on HF. I liked the 990 Baers, but they are open (you canโ€™t listen at home at night), more expensive than the others, but not the best + you need an amp and a card to build them, but excellent ergonomics. Shure 840 turned out to be the best in sound, a very pleasant frequency response to the ear, everything is sustained, there is both the width and depth of the stage, but not the most ergonomic headband, I bought them. As a result, I will say: do not blindly take the HD280 PRO and do not rely on rave reviews. Whether they are written by those who have never tasted anything sweeter than carrots, or the first headphones, or to justify the purchase . They only write vocals in the studio. Now there are shops where you can come and listen to a hundred headphones and choose calmly.

Pros
  • Overall, a solid build.
Cons
  • Sound, ergonomics. Already after 5 minutes there is pressure on the ears.
