This is the diameter of a typical smoke detector. The detail of the camera through the transparent lens is very good. Today I saw a security camera mounted on the wall of a retail chain that looked almost exactly like it. According to the manual, the battery for the red flashing LED usually lasts 3 months. Some of my actual security cameras have LED indicators that can be configured in the software to turn on, stay on or off during access/viewing. None of them blink in the usual pattern, so using the blinking LED feature can give this away (it would be better if the red LED could be on all the time). All in all, these artistic details are very minor and a useful deterrent for those in places where cables can't run, but you want thieves to pee their pants when they look up and see what they might be observing.
