Change batteries frequently, quickly stops working.

After a few months of owning the device the flashing red light stopped working again. I thought it was a battery issue as the device required a battery change every 2-3 weeks. However, the battery contacts are rusted. For real? Has non-galvanized metal been used for the outdoor product's electrical contacts? The new batteries did not fit and had to be discarded.

Perfect! But get your own hanging anchors. And don't put batteries in

Just put mine in and they look amazing! Do not use the supplied plastic pipe anchors as they are junk (break easily, fall through a hole or twist in place when screwing). Get your own ribbed or tapered plastic anchors! I didn't use batteries while working. I think the LED light is too bright and obviously makes it look fake. I've never seen a flashing light like this on a real security camera. Keep the batteries and install WITHOUT them. Looks great! And make sure you mount it where you would…

Real Fake Camera Photo

This is the diameter of a typical smoke detector. The detail of the camera through the transparent lens is very good. Today I saw a security camera mounted on the wall of a retail chain that looked almost exactly like it. According to the manual, the battery for the red flashing LED usually lasts 3 months. Some of my actual security cameras have LED indicators that can be configured in the software to turn on, stay on or off during access/viewing. None of them blink in the usual pattern, so…
